[link]

I finally got off and decided to finish this. So yay. Enjoy~ I'll make an animation tutorial later on if these two are received well ...

UPDATED! - 9/9/10
AAaaa.. much better now. It's short and simple, but I think this method is really good for both beginners and more advanced artists! ;p

Hope you guys like!

Feel free to comment with any question :)

Since the old version featured a different method, you can still find it here: [link]
warning: super old art lmao

I'm guessing I should have the bucket tool set to something? I don't get how an empty color layer could be filled very easily...

This probably sounds stupid, but I've never done lineart before.

But how do you just color inside the lines. My color is just covering the linart and the background so its all grey. :[

Help! *screams and runs in circles*

Make sure you invert the selection.

i have a really silly question...but how do you view your layers? and how do you colour over the lineart without colouring over, if you know what i mean.

Press 'Ctrl + L' and a dockable Layers screen will pop up. To get a new layer press 'Ctrl + Shift + N'. You put the lineart on the 'top' layer and colour on any layers below that. If you need anything else, I suggest googling it, it's usually explained much better over there ^.^

Hopefully this helped! :)
